My First Myglam

I received this bag a week ago so I'm proly late posting this in reference to other bloggers who did already but I'll share it anyways =). My Glam was founded by a makeup Youtube guru named Michelle Phan last year. I'm not a big fan of her but I decided to give this a try ever since she puts a video about her new launched makeup business. But I wasn't disappointed =). Compared to Birchbox, they included a big-sized items which, I would think are worth more than $10. So I think it was a steal ;). The other thing is, they have this cool concept : Go Green or something (just anything to do with nature and stuff LOL). I wasn't surprised when they sent me that green nail polish..

The cute bag includes:

❤ Sheer Cover Duo Concealer - It comes with light/ medium. I tried to use it but it just won't blend in very well with my skin tone. The other one is too light, then the other one is too dark. I don't know which one to use LOL.

❤ Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner - Very minty smell, I could say. The color is white and it doesn't lather that much only because it doesn't come with Sodium lauryl sulfate, which is one of the most common poisons in the world that manufacturers used in soaps, detergents, , toothpaste, anything that lathers that is widely documented to cause health problems (that's a good thing to keep in mind ei? ^^).

❤ Freeman Cucumber Facial Peel-off Mask - My fave off all. It smells reeally cucumber-ish. And the consistency is clear thick. It feels like a cucumber shake that smothered in your face lol. I feel like I had a plastic face, really. When I peeled everything off, it does comes in one clean piece. It also gives a minty refreshed feeling afterwards. Loves it <3

❤ Hot Topic in Grass is(n't) Always Greener - Hahaha, love the name of it. I was so excited to try out the color but when I did, I feel a little disappointed because well, it is so watery. Took me 3 coats before I can finally came up with the picture above. Although, I think it would look nice (and darkish) if you're wearing something to match the green-es.

..and also because I love this small vectored plants. Im quite an art observant.

Overall, 5/5. Very well presentation. It also comes with brochures from the participating companies, and the bag is so cute! =)

My First Birchbox

Hello everyone! =). How are you all? First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone for being a regular visitor on my blog, and most specially, I would like to welcome my new friends ( I don't want to say followers) because I checked each and everyone who followed me and I, in return, definitely followed them back. I learned a lot from all of you girls and building a small friendship means a lot to me. <3

Ok..onto my very first beautybox - BIRCHBOX~!. First thing I can comment on the service was, the total failure of the shipping process. I mean, I was so excited to receive my box but though it was a good thing they sent me the tracking number, it got lost somewhere in California which took 3 weeks before it eventually arrive to my shipping address. I mean, I know it wasn't their fault (damn you USPS!), but being an avid customer it should have had sorted out as early as possible.

The box came in quite smaller than I expected. For $10/month? But you never know, it's the content that counts =). It comes with a very pretty pink box with white stripes representing their logo or something. I like that a welcome note was included made the box even more special (and exciting!). The box includes:

❤ Jouer Lip Gloss - a very cute fuchsia color. I actually love the smell. The finish is sheer and it isn't as sticky as most lip glosses I own. Loves it.

❤ Juicy Couture - I already owned the perfume and the rollerball one (which I always always kept in my purse everywhere I go). It smells really sweet and sexy at the same time.

❤ VMV Hypoallergenics - this one's the biggest sample I got from the box. I was in need for an eye serum for ages and wanting to try one. It claims it brightens and revives under eye area. It has a lot of RE in it, revive, regenerate, renew, re re re re......

❤ Zoya nail polish in Kristen - OMMGG this is my most fave of all! I wasn't a fan of pastel ones but I defnitely fell in love with this bluish gray color. It applies in perfectly. Not too watery. And dries off easily. I love it. Will be checking out other colors soon =)

..and, the box also comes with a chocolate bar, and a magnetic post-it something (idk what its called) =). Overall, I didn't hated the box only because it came later than I expected. I became excited when I see Juicy Couture and Zoya in it. I rate it 4/5.

The package actually caught my eye. Then I checked the name - SIN - uhh snake, apple, ring a bell? lol. Eyeshadow base, it is shimmery gold, I tell ya. But for the few times I had used it, I liked it so much. Consistency is creamy. NEVER CREASES. I wonder why my other old UD Primer potion started creasing now =(. This one didn't. And I love how the brush was bent for easy application. (I swear, first time I saw it I thought it was broken LOL)

World of Colors

Im really not sure if I enjoyed taking pictures of this or was it the colors that inspired me to make this post. Either way, I am fortunate to have a big-compact makeup palette I received last Christmas =). I always thought of buying myself a palette, something to try out different colors. I love colors. I absolutely love makeup. But Im afraid to try out bright colors, specially if I know it won't suit me. Eeeekkk! But ya never know if you never try ;) *wink

The first time I tried any of the colors (mostly im on neutral ones), I fell inlove with it! Although not as highly pigmented as that of high-end ones like MAC, but the staying power is longer. It didn't smudged at all. The colors are so blendable. Loves it. <3

I was intrigued where the product came from. It was from Markwins International. (love their website). The same company that makes Wet & Wild, Bratz, The Spa, and some others to name a few. The palette is divided into shimmer and matte finishes. It has 150 eyeshadows, 100 lip glosses, 6 cream eyeliners, 4 eye highlights, 4 blushes and 2 shimmer powders. Also comes with 8 eyeliners, 2 mascaras, a mirror, and a brush set.

I love it so much, I can't wait to try ALL of it! <3

Quick Haul: Victoria's Secret

This one's a last year haul when I went browsing at Victoria's Secret for Christmas pressies. Not an intention to buy anything, but because people were so cluttered around for Sales, I jumped in and went along. Well, not a cheap sale for me ofcourse, since Im on a shopping restraint (heck yeah! that's my New Years resolution =). They have this cute perfumes and lotion packages that, well, for me is quite cheaper than buying them single. I always buy underwears at VS because they're all so comfy to wear (and cute too).

VS Lipstick in Be Mine - a very gorgeous color!

VS Airbrush Face Primer - silicone-based and very easy to blend with foundation. Makeup stays longer

VS So Sexy Hair Serum - the smell? OMG, love it! It makes hair so soft and shiny

Christmas Part II: Disneyland

It's Christmas! =). Who wouldn't like to go to the happiest places on earth? Disneyland even made my Christmas merrier. We're just suppose to go to Disneyland that day, but because there's a massive amount of people visiting, they gave us a free pass on California Adventure (steal =). There's a loootttt of people there, my god. Strollers hitting behind me, kids screaming, long line, people pushing LOL. What do you expect? But who cares, I'm happy LOL. Last time I visited Disneyland was I think 2 years ago, and it still feels like the first time.

One thing I enjoyed in every theme parks, are these fluffy cotton candies. Can't get enough of them. Made me feel like a child. Believe me, I still am =)

While looking around to buy some hot cocoa, I found this guy doing some sketches. Made me realize that's how artists do their magic on Disney's arts =) but I loved it.

How I wish fairy tales were real - I once thought it was. I don't want to keep believing it ISNT, because I still believe in it. Someday my prince will come - sarcasm much? =)

Christmas Part I: Evening Before

If there would be a single word to describe how my Christmas was, it would be 'perfect'. I wish everyday is Christmas. I always look forward to this best time every year. Celebrating and merrying with family and friends. I never quite planned my weekend off from work would be that long, and that amazing. I started celebrating my Christmas with my co-workers 4days before the day and it feels so nice to fit in. They're my 2nd family. I planned on giving simple gifts to every single one of them because they deserved to be thought of. =)

Then the evening came, we celebrated the night at my sister's new house. They're the nicests person I ever knew, specially my brother-in law. They're expecting a baby soon so yey for new family member =). The most exciting part of the night was we skyped with our families from the Philippines. It just feels like they're with us. Oh I miss Christmas in the Philippines. I could almost remember I was so much excited when Christmas is coming. Musical Christmas tree beneath the stairs with sparkling gifts underneath, a dimmed light, simple foods prepared on the table, and most importantly we were the happiest family I could ever imagine. I always even thought Santa was real =). Then I grew up realizing I could be my own Santa =).

Having to move and live here in the US is so much different, for me at least. Everything is different. But we still managed to keep things as if like a tradition we once grew up with.

We had our group pictures together. Above was me and my little brother's picture. Then we opened up gifts - omg, I was so happy opening my gifts from lovely people, never even expected to receive an Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's from my bff. Thnx Pam! =). I love all of them gifts so much.

And below were the gifts I gave for my siblings and friends..(something to keep them warm)

We then ended the night watching movie - Colombiana (that until now we haven't finished watching because everyone were sleepy LOL). I stayed at my sis' house for that night.

All I could remember most of all were the laughters and smiles from everyone's faces that were priceless- not much I always see everyday. =)

I didn't got the chance to show my presents for my coworkers because I was too excited to wrap them lol.

Yesterday, I just gave this very cute baby set (from H&M) for my friend's little baby girl and I opened it for her so I know I'm safe ^_~. Aint this cute?

I'm really not sure if I should show the pictures of my presents for my family because they might read this and it would spoil their Christmas. I might post it AFTER they opened it ahhha! ^___^v

As some of you may not know (or actually knew months ago) are the new craze for Beauty Boxes. I was totally unaware of this amazing concept until I find beauty gurus bragging about their latest monthly beauty boxes.

Hair color with errhh crazy pic

Wooohoo! How's everyone? =) Im feeling in a mood today for some blog smoochin' haha! Anyways, much has everyone commented on my "Light Hair Brown Color For Me?" post about me considering changing my hair color to more lighter tone, I finally decided I'll color it MORE darkier for some reason... 1) my natural hair color which is blackish wouldn't really actually stop growing and I don't want to keep retouching it over and over thus would make my hair even more drier er (im lazy).. and 2) im feeling the blackness! LOL =p.

At one point, I took some photos to share but at the end of the process, I noticed it didn't actually turned out to be violet black! =o

Some Vintage Antiques

Last night, I went on a Winterfest event going on in a town close to where I live. It's a VERY old American town with people dressed up as cowboys and indians. California is a place where different variety of races populated the area and cultures are very much preserved in such dignity that until now, we still celebrate. It's an old Thanx giving tradition in the area and people from different towns gather to witness the spectacular town decorated with beautiful Christmas lights. I can actually feel the early spirit of Christmas =).

There were also some places to go for wine tasting, food munching (lol), and best of all..a couple of old Antique shops that I personally indulge myself in. I LOVE collecting antiques. Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss

I've been so obsessed with Soap & Glory ever since I tried one of their product weeks ago during the Sephora event. I personally think their products really work and that what amazes me. One of which I really liked is this super-oh-so-sexy lipgloss/ lip plumper what ever you call em by name ahah! The consistency is THICK, like when I apply it, it stick on like a glue LOL (too overated?). But that doesn't bother me at all, it kind of stays on for a long period the reason why its so thick lol, idk. It stings a bit when you apply it - which is relatively normal. knowing the product works. Did it made my lips appear bigger? Ofcourse it does =), all kind of lipglosses have the same effect. It smells vanillaish, which I really really love =). The color I got is baby pinkish because that is the only gloss stock I got that time (when people are all grabbing things like animal. Kinda remind of the Black Friday tonight!! *freaks out)

Heel Genius Foot Cream

I loveeee love this cream! My HG for my so-dried out heel. Ever since I started getting busy with life, I barely even had time to moisturize my foot (which is the least important part of our body). I moisturize a lot for my body but not realizing that winter had made my dry foot even worst. So I found a remedy for the cracked-foot that I once had and thanx to this super genius-amazing foot cream! =). The color is green, and consistency is well, moisturizing =). One of the reason why I love Soap & Glory. I never forget to put on this cream before going to bed or even in the morning. I then put on my warm cozy socks and it feels really warm and smells so good =). Now my night would be no-more-dry feet anymore!

Fab Pore Facial peel

Again, this has become one of my ultimate facial peel of all! I've tried face mask and stuff but this made it all a difference. It didn't dried out my face and I like that it comes with this little green granules that dissolves on application. Very minty and refreshing I could say =). It leaves my skin soft and supple. Love loves this so much! <3

Hand Food Hand cream

This is a must-to go with me everywhere I go. I always tend to have dry hands most of the time, specially during this winter so I really can't go anywhere without this. I have quite plenty of hand creams/ lotions in my bag (which I should sort out LOL) but this has became my favorite and I really really love the smell! Smells kind of minty. I love that it is so moisturizing as well. It doesn't make my hand so slippery (which most hand creams does). This is miracle *oh* =) My hands are craving for this food! hahah!

That's it! My lil soap and glory haul =). I can't think of any flaws because I think they have became my personal fave now. Price-wise? It depends on your personal bias but they are quite inexpensive for products that really work tbh. =)

PART I : Olay Complete

I confess - "Im an Olay moisturizer lover for AGES" =). I had been using this brand for 2 years now and I really can't find something better than my Olay firming cream. <3 Other than that, I had also tried out different products from Olay because they are just so good to be true - well, some I liked, some I can't say I hate.

I bought all these products from Target because that is the closest drug store to where I live (somewhere like 5mins drive hehe!). Now, Olay is a very good skin care brand mostly popular for their anti- aging technology and stuff. Some would say 'why would you need an anti-aging, you're still young?'. NOT true. Everyday our skin cells gets old. I am 24 and like everyone we are exposed to a lot of harmful radicals everyday (sun, stress, pollution you name it), thus speeding up the aging process of our skin. We need to take care of our skin. And one of the most important ways to avoid your skin getting older than your age, is to 'prevent' it.

i. Night of Olay Firming Cream

Truly an award- winning night cream. I really can't say how much I would definitely definitely recommend this to anyone. My mom and my sis uses this one. This has been part of my night routine and I can't sleep without it! The texture is so moisturizing, not oily. The smell is so good. I like that Olay doesn't have that strong powerful smell that sticks in your face like you sprayed perfume or something LOL =p. Upon application, your face will become a little bit firm, not tight. And when you wake up, your skin will look so much healthy! =). I can see a big difference in my skin when I forgot to use it. It doesn't break me out or anything. It also helps fade out my old scar/ post acne marks. This is my ONLY favortite night cream...evah!

ii. Olay Complete Moisturizer in Normal

I used to use the one designed for combination/ oily skin, but I do noticed that my skin gets more oilier hmmm =\. But it becomes less oilier when I started to use the one for normal skin. I hope my skin became normal now ahhah! =). I love this moisturizer not only because people are raging for this for so long vouching how effective this one works (which I can say it does), it also comes with UV protection which is SO very important for your skin. I always gets a moisturizer with SPF stuffs. Never had I bought one that doesn't comes with it. This moisturizer doesn't dries out my skin. Very moisturizing as well.

iii. Olay Anti- wrinkle Eye Cream

I don't need a lot of anti- wrinkle eye cream, YET. But I uses this product whenever I remember hahah! I noticed when I squint in front of the mirror, I can see small craw feets and that freaks me out! =o. Our skin around the eyes are SOOO thin compared to the skin of the rest of our body. Blood vessels are also visible under the eye partly because of stress, hence eye bags are also visible. Delicate care should be provided specially when we girls wipe it with eye make up remover. Eye cream wise, I can't say it dramatically changes the wrinkles around my eyes. I can't say there really are any good anti-wrinkle eye creams that work miracles.

Part II : Olay ProX Clear system for Acne-prone skin

I bought these kit because my skin suffered from tremendous amount of breakout when I started stressing out because of work. I can say it DID minimal change in my skin, not that it completely get rid of it but it did controls my pimples. This is a 3-system acne protocol, like any brand. I can't say which ones did work , which ones didn't because I follow them all together so..

Step 1: Cleanse with Pore Clarifying Cleanser

I soooo love this cleanser! It is very creamy in texture. I think this one did the job amongst the three. It did dries out my pimples, so did most part of unaffected areas of my face =\.

Step 2: Treat spots with Skin Clearing treatment

I still have the half bottle of this because I ran out of the cleanser. I think the concentration of the cleanser AND the treatment is too much that dries out my skin. I didn't used this that much.

Step 3: Moisturize with Complexion renewing lotion

I like that it helps fading out the old acne mark, but it really did takes a while before I can see improvement of my acne. I can't say I have acne (though I keep saying LOL), it's just a massive breakout when I get stressed out. And I really need some acne-fading treatment like this. The color is clear and moisturizing as well. Loves it <3

Sephora VIB Event

Last night, me and my friends attended the Sephora VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider) event here in southern California. We came at around past 6pm and people have been crazy all over. It was an amazing feeling, I get excited!. It's like a party! There were freebies, a live DJ, free refreshments, very helpful sales ladies, and it was 20% off entire purchase =). I went around looking for something more to grab. I stayed longer in front of the skincare section because there's really not much I need as of now but deym! I just went mad splurge! god. The counter line reached until the front door hahha! But it wasn't bad at all. What I liked most that night was the free chocolate bar!! =p (and lucky me, I got the very last piece ahhah!)

Anyways, it was a great shopping experience nonetheless =)

MAC Ice Parade Brush kits - Mineralize & Special Edition

First and foremost, ok, I haven't own ANY mac brushes..everh! EEkkk, and this is my first MAC brushes and Im sooooooo excited for it =). I used to use the Sephora brushes (yes, i love sephora. Their brushes are cheaper than MAC). But after using those sephora brushes for months now, it tend to fall out and aint that softer like the first time I used them. I clean them as delicate as possible but I finally decided I needed new brushes with high quality and been ranging these MAC brushes for soooo long.

Everyone know MAC brushes aint that cheap ahah! (expect it). But when I came down to MAC store the weekend, I wasn't aware of their new holiday collection which was - Ice Parade Glitter and Ice. OMG. They are amazing! This kind lady helped me find the right brush kit. I did bought the Mineralize kit not realizing Im gonna need those other kit as well! =o So I went down a day after and bought the other kit - Special Edition because I needed the 168, and 217 a lot. tsk

I prefer buying in kits because they are wayyyyy so much cheaper compared to buying them one by one. The only thing is, they are small. Good for travel sizes. Their handles are transparent glittery-ice which I find cute =). I find it much easier to apply, blend, or anything, with these MAC brushes.

I wasn't really sure if I wanted nail coats like this, maybe only because they're the new craze among nail fanatics. I don't always wear colored nail polishes because they are not allowed on work /boo. But this is something I'll always look up into for any night outs and special occasions =). I bought these nail polishes intentionally for my relatives in the Philippines, they might fancy these ones hehe!

PerfectFormula Pink Gel Coat

I am really in need something for my poor dry and cracked nails. The first time I used it, my finger nails feel soft and smooth when I run my fingers in it. My nails has never been this healthy looking. I love it! <3

Urban Decay Cream Highlighter in Sin

Been always in look out for this sweet glittery highlighter for so long haha! So the last time I went to Sephora (which was just yesterday lol), I told to myself 'sod it, im really gonna buy it now' LOL, and here it is, along with my fave make up collection. I tried to take a photo so you could see the swatch but to no avail because the sun hasn't properly come out here in California. But the texture is cream (cream highlighter *duh), and the it is not that much of a sparkly glitter, really. I like it =)

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

I've been buying this product for almost my entire life. First time I bought this was when I was in Hong kong and I never understood what the chinese character says ahha! I have blackhead/ white heads problem on my nose, like most of you. And I really can't help but thank biore for making an amazing product. The pack comes with either just the nose and face strip or both. I always buy both because it also comes in handy for removing ones on my forehead and chin, but I do get most of it from my nose. The only thing that I hate on pore strips is when it dries out, and you remove it, few seconds later it will DEFINITELY gonna itch! haha! But worth it because you can really see ALL the goodies attached on the strip.

Ren ClearCalm 3 Acne Treatment Mask

Haven't actually used this product for a week so I cannot vouch how good/ bad this product is. When I came to Sephora yesterday, this handsome customer agent approached me (well, most of them already knew me bec. Im a regular costumer there LOL), and he keeps following me I said ,no, thnx im ok just looking around' ahhaha! Then me ended up standing in the Shiseido counter looking for , well, perhaps a post acne mark treatment because my face has been bad lately. But Shiseido is very expensive high-end one. So, he was a good help after he came back lol. He showed me this one from Ren. He then tried this on my hand (I wonder why he was shaking when he hold mine lol). And I like that it's a weekly treatment mask and not a daily spot treatment, because I kind of stay away from daily treatment for a while. The smell is very much of a Sulfur I guess, only because it is 5% of it. I wanted to make this work and hopefully I could see a difference in my skin after few weeks, thnx to that cutie ahhah! =)

Soap & Glory Hand Food

Hooray! Sephora has Soap & Glory now =). I heard a lot of great stuffs from this brand so I can't wait to try most of it. For the meantime, I've always been in need for hand lotions because of this winter season, and since because I am working as a nurse, I tend to wask my hands more frequently than regular people so my hands did turned out really dry, and cracked. I like the smell of this, kind of vanilla something. And it is very moisturizing as well =)

Bath & Body Face Mask

Not sure why I bought this but maybe because it was on sale haha! =p, but when I first used this, it has a minty cool feeling. The smell? Oh you really can't go wrong with Bath & Body's items =). It leaves my skin soft and supple. I think I crave for another face mask treatment ahha!

One Berry Delicious Lip Balm

Oh lala! This is one of my faveeeee balm ever! The smell, the taste (i dont eat this), yummm. I bought this one from Target when it was on sale, at around $1-2 I think , which is a steal imo. I liberally use this prior to applying lipsticks so my lips won't chap later on. Very moisturizing as well. Loves it!! <3

Burt's Bees Blemish Stick

Also, when I came to Target, I bought this one, which was a bit random. I haven't tried any of Burt's bee's products but I heard alot of positive reviews about em. The smell of this is very strong, as expected, something like very herbal. And the smell stays on my face for sooo long. When I first applied this, it was kind of oily and not sure if it did something for the spots/ blemishes. But oh well =)

VitaFusion MultiVites and Vitamin C

Everyone should have atleast one of these, this winter season =). It has all the good stuffs in it and our body needs some vitamins everyday. 2 gummies a day, keeps the doctors away =)

Neutrogena T/ Gel Therapeutic Shampoo for dandruff scalp

Honestly speaking, I may have the longest and worst DANDRUFF head ever! Been suffering for almost 1 year now and I simply can't find the right shampoo for my scalp *cries*. I did tried other Anti- dandruff shampoo but they really made it even worst! I know most of you also know that citrus or vinegar helps in removing dandruff, I did that too as well, but eeeekk aint that so painful and I had my mom put it because my scalp turns red because of pain. I was really hopeless to wear black tops, and had been so over conscious looking over my shoulder and my car seat.oh =(

That has been my dandruff story so far =), but not anymore ever since I tried this aaaammmzing product, I no longer suffer in dandruff. It does controls the sebum, itchiness, and flakes. The smell aint that pleasant because of Tar but after it gets dry, it smells really good. My hair has been shiny as well, though I still have dry hair. I can't find anything better than this. Thank you neutrogena, you saved my scalp! =)

Just a smallish haul that I bought last week. Apologize for the bad lightning. It is autumn here and I haven't seen the sun since the morning =(. These are all the stuffs I bought from Forever21 except for the brownish top and white sweater from H&M. The last picture was the shabby lamp I kept coming back to Home Goods because I really really like it but I haven't have the guts to buy it before. I always say 'no ill wait for black friday' etc. But I thought what if I missed it? I couldn't find anything like that, even in ebay. So I'm like ok I'll really gonna buy it now. And it looks cute ! =). My mom saw it last night and she liked it hehe.

Quick Food for Thoughts (what I learned for the past few weeks)

Thank yous & myBirthday Haul

First of all, I wanted to THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU who followed my blog and I do hope you still enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing random stuffs for you =). I started my blog as a personal space for me to share about my life and experiences. I never thought I'd come this far and it made me smile when I read one comment or when there's someone new who followed my blog. I wouldn't hope this blog would be as big as other people's blog but I do hope I can make people smile and touch their heart..<3

Oh just an fyi, wethz is my pet name :)

I celebrated my birthday with my family early before Oct.15th because I have to work that night. There was this amazing filipino resto called Green Banana Leaf . It was THE best filipino restaurant I had ever dine into. We had to order almost 8 different kinds of dishes and extra rices because it was THAT good. =)

Then I had to work 2 nights in a row. I never expect my co-workers would buy me pizzas yey! It was great. I wish I could've done all my stuff so I could've joined them. They were surprised because none of them knew it was my birthday lol. Even one of my patients would greet me, it was one of the nicests things I could hear =).

On my way home from work, I was surprised with the simple gifts from my family. I love them. I then had to go straight to church the morning to thank God for bringing me such a wonderful family and friends. After a long hours awake, had my 2 hours naps because my time clock have to adjust. But I woke up late in the afternoon thinking it's time to spoil myself now =) *evil grins*

So excited that I had to take a picture when I got home that night ahhahaha! *crazy

Review: Benefit Erase Paste

I can't stress (so much) how much I really love this concealer. For long I've always always been looking for a great concealer that I would love. I once mentioned this concealer to be reviewed in my Battle of the 6 Concealers. I haven't added this to the review because I wanted to give it a time and see how effective this one works and, I can say, I loves it! =).

Pros

Blendable because of its creamy texture

Coverage is medium, buildable

Not cakey

Brightens out uneven skin tone

Doesn't fade

No smell

Doesn't actually break me out

Perfect as under eye concealer. Makes the eyes bright and awake

The package also comes with a mini booklet that shows 3 different ways to conceal

Shabby Chic Bedroom Ideas

"Florals. Vintagy. Patterns. Worn out pastel colors. Dirty off whites. Pleated curtains. Faux painting. Feminine" - this is Shabby Chic style.

Ever since I moved to my new room, I instantly decided I am going to make a total new-room make-over. I had been in love with this type of interior design. Not only does it suits my personality but it feels warm and cozy with the slight touch of elegance in every angle. =)

My room is in its 'almost' finish state. I have a natural light facing bedroom with 3 windows all around the room (which is why my family always wants to stay in my room to chill out hehe!). Had the walls painted in cream white, and I used the same curtains I bought from Target from the Rachel Ashwells' Simply Shabby chic line including the bedsheets. Who wouldn't want a nice bedsheets? For me, it is the first thing people see in your room. It instantly changes the appearance of the whole room. I also bought sets of makeup table and a side table from IKEA which are soooo purty! =) My dad and brother have to help me screw everything up.

I have few more touch ups that I needed to finish (makeup stool, study chair, lamps and all other stuff) that I don't want to rush out anyways. Here are few of my research for ideas and inspirations. Massive Shopping Spree for Fall !!

When I'm in a good mood, I sometimes treat myself on a little splurge for shopping =). I go on a single day walking around, spending my whole hours staring at a gorgeous top thinking if I need this or that and ended up NOT buying it hahah! And sometimes I have this item in mind but ended up buying the other one haha! I'm kind of a picky shopper but when I really need ~~slash want~~ it, I get it =p. But let us all admit it, we buy stuffs because there's a strong pull that we really wanted to try them at least, and after all, Fall is here :)

Victoria's Secret

VS Baked Mineral Bronzing powder

My first stop was at VS with my undecided mind flying around, then saw this gorgeous bronzer. Why didn't I saw you before?? :(. The color is somewhat a slight shimmery- gold, like sun-kissed glow. But it's not too much shimmery and yet it is also buildable. I use this under my cheek bone and if you have a round/ oval face like I have, it can also elongate your face (not sure if that's the right word hahha!). The packaging is also purty btw! <3

MAC

MAC Turquatic Perfume

Ofcourse, I won't pass by without checkin' what MAC has to offer. I was surprised to see Turquatic perfume back! I tested it and I soooooooooooo (10x) LOVE the smell! =) Smells like fresh, breezy-aquatic, and not overpowering at the same time. The only downfall was the packaging is small considering the price err. But nonetheless, I still loves it and it stays on for a longer period (because that's what most of us want anyways)

MAC Jest e/s

I was about to get the Brule or Shroom e/s, but I thought I wanted a frost finish at the same time. I don't want too matte or too veluxe so I thought frost would be better since I've been eyeing on somewhat same color as the Brule so I thought "why not try Jest, it looks pretty too". I like that it has glittery effects too :). Great for cat-eye look.

MAC Studio Sculpt foundation in NW25

I run out of this MAC foundation and I do think this is the only foundation I have that (I think) makes the most coverage of all. I used this one on my previous posts (Outfit of the Night & the night), and I noticed a much big difference in my skin. I do have a lot of post acne/ pimple spots that I tried (with all my effort) to conceal it and it wouldn't be made possible without this amazing foundation. Love loves this foundation and I keep coming back to it. It isn't too thick or heavy nor cakey. I use the tiny tinieeeest drop for my entire face. Coverage is build able and it last definitely, giving a dewy look. =). And also, I lower down the shade. I used to be NW20. Not sure why, maybe because I turned tan during summer hahha!

CHI Shine Infusion Spray

I saw this from few beauty bloggers using this prior to styling to protect their hair from heat etc. I always wanted to try this one before but I thought I wouldn't need it anyway since I don't style my hair that much. But I realized even when I do style it at least I need something to protect my hair from damaging and getting drier since I do have a dry-brittle hair and I don't want to make it even worst =(. The spray is mist and I like the smell of it. Not sure if it does something for the shine on my hair (which it says it should) LOL.

Nexxus Pro-mend creme

This is quite sticky. Not sure if its just me hahah! But when I woke up in the morning (btw, I apply this overnight which it says it CAN be), then when I woke up in the morning, my hair get's sticky so I really wanting to rinse it out as soon as I wake up LOLL =o. But the smell's good anyway ;)

Roc Eye Treatment

Been looking for a good eye creme treatment to combat or lessen under eye dark circles and puffiness. I think I saw this one in front of the skin care section with all the other products being displayed with notable awards/ recognition from few magazines, etc. After all, that's what most people look at - is it the 'best' product? =)

This is a verrrry pretty nude color <3. I bought this one from Fashion Today's counter.

Goodbye Hello Kitty

As I was packing up my stuffs and preparing to move out, I noticed I am going through a lot of changes in my life lately. New job, new home, no boyfriend, but my family and friends were always been there for me for so long. And one thing that I had always been obsessed with, right from the start when I was young, was Hello Kitty. Everything hello kitty, I'll be crazy!

But change happens for some reason. Everyone changes from time to time. Slowly, I feel bored of the old stuff and feel like I needed to grow up. I know I know, pink and hello kitty's cute. But I don't want to stay like that forever until I'm 80's and I'll still be HK fan? Er I don't think so =l (but that sounds cute actually ahhah!)

I found myself attracted to retro vintagy stuffs months ago that must have made me lose my grip to HK hehe! I found it mysterious and very sophisticated in a way lol. I still stay with the simple and shabby style that is. When I found all these HK stuffs that I owned years and years ago (gifts and some random stuffs I bought), I realized I might sell them out (some of them except for the gifts that I will treasure ofc) ^__^.

Light hair brown color for me?

I know a lot of you girls have colored hairs or even wanting to try out sometimes. For ages, I have been scared to color my hair because it will only damage and make it look even dry and brittle. I have a natural weird hair color. Usually it goes dark brown in sunlight. And sometimes it looks true black. 0-o

I started coloring my hair a year ago with the same hue : Mahogany, Burgundy brown, Chest-nut brown. And now I feel like I'm missing my old natural hair color so I colored it with dark brown again.

Below were my previous hair colors in any order..

As I scan my old pics, I realized I have been more into red-head colors and I feel kind of bored with it so I've been wanting to try out a new color. Then I found Maggie Q's hair color (OMMGG I want that hair too! :o) - very sexy, effortless wavy hair she can pull out ^^. I've also been taking into consideration of Ombreing my hair since Summer was here. (actually summer is almost over haha!).

I haven't tried light brown to almost-blonde hair colors. And I'm not sure if it will look good to me :l. I'm just being careful to choose the right color since now my hair gets so dry and damaged before trying out. So I pretty much need some help before doing so ^__^

What do you think? Any advices? ^__^

How Do You Let Go?

Does anyone believes in 3-month rule? Where in you tried your best to move on for 3 months after a break up and see if you are better without him. And NO dating within that 3 months. To someone out there who has feeling the same feeling as I am (currently), this one's for you..

It's been 2 months now since me and my ex broke up. We parted our ways and both agreed to let go because we hardly even had time for our relationship. We've been in a long distance relationship for a year and 3 months. And today would have been our 5 month. I always thinks about him and thinking if he still feels the same way. It was hard for me to move on because I still feel that I love him and my heart still longs for him even as much as I said it wasn't anymore. But yet, we both agreed there's nothing else we can do apart of the situation that we could still be friends.

First few weeks were hard. I tried to cover up the feeling and hide all the things he gave me or anything that would remind me of him. I have my friends and families to surround me which made it slightly easier to move on. I found something to keep me busy (and happy) - shopping and makeup ^__^. I don't normally do these kind of stuffs before but I realized every girl needs to boost some confidence in a natural way.

I then found blogging to be very helpful. I blog blog everything I feel like writing because it made me ventilate out my feelings and there are these amazing people (like you reading this ^_^), who has the same situations as I did, gives plentiful of advices. I feel like, I'm not an island. Just earlier this morning, I found this beautiful poem from Caroline's blog (Fashionista Diary) about the secret of real love.

"By time, you realize that to be happy with someone else, first, you need to learn not to need them.
You also realize that the person you love (or think you do) that doesn't love you back, is definitely not the person of your life.
You learn to love yourself, take care of yourself, and most of all, love someone that loves you.
The secret is not to run behind the butterflies, but take care of the garden so they can come to you.
And at the end, you are going to find, Not who you were looking for, but who was looking for you!"

What it means for me is to love thy self before loving anyone else. And not to look for someone but that someone would go look for you. I always look into this poem and made me realize that I CAN move on, let go and be happy for a good reason.

Love is a constant pain and yet it also made you even stronger. Life is too short to do silly things and pity thy self. SMILE - it is the start of something new...

Review : Philosophy Completely Clear Skin System

I'll start off that I wasn't happy with the result from using this product. I thought I was because I heard a lot of good reviews about their moisturizers but I didn't. I used this product 5 months ago when I started having small pimples tids and bits for no apparent reason so I was really in need for a skin-911. I found this from Sephora and the lady there was really giving me a sales talk but she was genuinely kind enough so I ended up buying anyway. When I got home, I was excited to use it as I was carried off with what was written on the box as well. The price? Errr, $35 for these small kit? Doesn't hurt I guess.

The cleanser was a foam. I was like yea, easy to use, I don't need to scrub it off my face and stuff. It was convenient for me too. It has a salicylic acid content but not too strong so I expect it not to over dry my face and so it didn't for the first few days. Now, there are these 2 similar spot-on treatment/ lotion which I really wasn't sure which one to use first, or does this one goes on top of this one? LOL. I was clueless so I ended up using same at the same time. (Idk why the heck they have these. They should've put 2 in 1 bottle). And, the size is small. Like the size of my tiny little middle finger =\. But ya never know? Looks can be deceiving ei? =). Then the last one was the lotion that claims to fade away post acne marks, which I'm really in need.

2 weeks past by of using it, I noticed my skin gets very dry, especially around my lips . Though I normally have an oily skin. I concluded this was from the harsh chemicals from the cleanser and proly the over used of the lotions/ slash spot-on treatment.

Did it removed my acne? Yes it does little by little and I honestly can see improvement in my acne so far. But even though I moisturize at night time to counter act the over dryness, I wouldn't consider using these products on my skin for long. I just wanted to try Philosophy out but I proly give it a 7/10 =\. I still love that it diminishes and heals my acne for a short period of time but as soon as it does for the rest of my pimples, small ones are popping out and gives me a hell. =\

Ever had a feeling that you wanted to try out a different style wearing those weird and not-so creepy accessories? I do =). I don't know. There's something with these cuties that makes me want to try em out a bit. I always look for accessories that are unique but in a very reasonable prices. Im very picky when it comes to those kinds of stuff. Like, I tell myself "Do I need to spend $6 for just a pair of earring?!" *cough Icing*

Battle of the 6 Concealers

Of all the make-up I could ever be obsessed with, it will always be Concealers. I could never stop until I find that perfect concealer (face/ eye) that will perfectly suit me - conceal and brightens for a long period of time. I have imperfection and that I want to conceal those puffiness and dark circles around my eye :(. I always had it even as much as I tried preventing it because I spend way too much on the computer with my geeky glasses on (which Im definitely sure that causes it lol =l . And because I also get stressed out from my work, I feel sad that I can never avoid stress even as much as I tried to, and my skin is suffering from it =(. But on the contrary, thanx to cosmetics there are some ways to hide those imperfections lol and I plead guilty to that! =p

Mac SF concealer, Physician's Formula concealer sticks, AC concealer, Covergirl smoothers concealer, Maybelline 24hr superstay concealer.. and (not on the photo) Smashbox photo op under eye brightener, and Benefit erase paste

Mac Studio Finish Concealer (in NW20)

I already made a review from my Mac collection few months ago CLICK HERE. I like that it does what it says and conceals those post acne marks I had. It also comes with SPF which I might say is also good for the skin as it prevents further discoloration ekk. It has a creamy powdery texture. The only thing that I kind of avoid using this is it cake under my eye =l. Over all, it is by far the best concealer I got from Mac. =)

Physician's Formula Concealer Sticks (in Yellow and Beige)

I saw these ones because they were in clearance sale and were 2 in one 1 package. The yellow stick is for concealing under eye dark circles, which I believe did in some way. And the beige (not sure what it's really called, I lost it :(), is for concealing spots on the face. Now, I wasn't impressed with the lasting quality of both because it didn't stayed on for too long. It does only conceals after putting it. The smell? I like it :). Maybe I didn't used these concealers for a long time but something you could also look up to if you're interested :).

Maybelline 24hour Super Stay Concealer (in Light)

Now this says it all :) - long lasting. I like that this is a cream concealer because this is so easy to blend. With just a small pea-sized amount, dab and blend it with your ring finger and woahhla! =). Ok to use for acne and post acne marks or even under eye because of its full coverage, and no cakey look. I used to use this before applying with Mac studio finish concealer to give that finish look. (I know, cheating ahhah!). Im kind of bit sad Im running out but would definitely look after this if I couldn't find a better one. :)

Cover Girl Smoothers Concealer (in Light)

This was my first concealer ever! :) I'll be honest that I don't have a lot of stuffs to conceal ages ago but I do have imperfections but I wasn't even aware of that not until I started noticing those number of marks and spots. And this was the first baby I picked up from Target which I liked. Concealer sticks are easy to use but because you frequently dab it onto your face most of the time, the bacteria and old nasty stuffs are just on top layer of that stick eeee. So I tend to clean it everytime before I use it. Anyway for coverage side, it's ok but not good enough for big-red sitz.

Smashbox Photo Op Under eye Brightener (in Nude)

If you are looking for an under eye brightener you might want to check this out. Actually this was my first item I bought from Smashbox as I never tried any of their products. But concealer and brightener-wise, it isn't actually a true concealer to be honest as it doesn't give a full coverage for spots. But what it does best was to brighten up the under eye specially if you are taking a photo of yourself, which I don't do on a regular basis LOLLL. It is quite liquidy (term?) but easy to apply because it comes with a wand. But price-wise for a small bottle? Er.

Amazing Cosmetics Concealer (in Light Golden)

At first when I saw this, I was like "Eh? world's best concealer ei?" Then after checking it for a while, it kind of catches my attention to wanting to buy it because it says it is the secret of most of the Hollywood's make up artists. And on its counter, it says that it has won an award from Allure 2010? (i guess, but not sure which company hahah!) You know me, Im a very gullible person lol =).

Been using this for quite a while now and Im totally impressed with it. Creamy, blendable, good skin color match (but I prefer to have a shade a little darker than my tone because I don't want too light and obvious spots on my face). And the coverage? A little goes a long way. It does conceals redness and post acne marks but not my active little baby sitz :(. I don't use concealers and foundations at work but every time I use this for special occasions and stuffs, I noticed it also stays on for quite a while. Specially when I see myself on the picture which Im kind of surprised like I never had something to conceal =).

By far my FAVEEEEEEEEEE and AMAZING concealer of all mentioned :) YEY!

Next on the list for Review: Benefit Erase Paste no.1

I do apologize for the long and boring post. Concealers are just there to conceal imperfections and not totally hide it. I may never ever find that perfect concealer because I know there wouldn't be any, truthfully.

So if you're looking for some good ole concealer that will disguise your look, you might get interested in any that I mentioned above :), and I hope it will help you a bit.

Review: Botanics Clay Mask & Face Scrub

When I feel lazy and stress -free, I feel like I wanted my skin to have some pampering spa treatment thus why I get addicted to face masks recently ^_^. Me, my mom, and my sis used to go to our favorite spa called Kamino Ishi way back in the Philippines almost every weekend. Now I kind of missing it because spending money for a similar treatment here is way too much for my pocket. And you have to pay per hour which usually cost $20-60 eeekkkk :(

Now, I find myself indulging in this facial clay mask from Boots Botanics which I really really love! Why clay mask? Well, I did my own research and found out that clay mask has a lot more benefit than regular mask. :)

Clay has the ability to absorb excess oil, dirt and harmful toxins from skin. The high mineral content of clay rejuvenates the skin while the clay exfoliates and stimulates blood circulation to the skin. Regular use of clay facials will remove dead skin cells, improve circulation to the skin, remove debris from the pores and bring about a smooth healthy glow.

It is basically true on the product I am going to review. Almost all masks have the same routine direction : leave on for 10-20 minutes until it dries out, and then rinse.

Botanics Conditioning Clay Mask

Botanics clay mask was the first mask I've used at home and Im totally in love with it. Been using this for 5 months now. The consistency is not so thick and just perfect for mask. It dries out fast so you have to apply it quickly in an even layer (which you could use with brush or just bare fingers). Every time I used it and I let it dry for a few minutes, I could see the excess oil coming out and it looks gross! :o Atleast I know I really have an oily skin :(. Most of the parts are on the T-zone area where excess oil and dead skin cells are trapped causing acne inflammation. After a while, it becomes really tight, then you know it's time to wash it off! ^_^

If I could add anything more in this clay mask, I could say it doesn't only leaves your skin very clean, like your skin breathes (lol? :)) but it is also a firming face lift mask which I kinda like :)

Botanics Purifying Face Scrub

Because I love Botanics, I tend to love this face scrub as well. It has tiny granules/ small beads that exfoliates skin and remove dead skin cells leaving the skin sooooooo soft and smooth like literally and I don't want to exaggerate it hahha! It is kind of similar to St. Ives face scrubs effect but this one stands out. I exfoliate at least once a week but sometimes I would forgot hahha! The smell is amazing as well. Nevertheless, ex foliating is VERY important as everybody would say to achieve that nice smooth glowy look. ^_^

Hahha! This made me laugh :p. Uhmmm.. I rather use lipstick as eyeliner ;). Not sure how eyeliners will work on the lips hahha!

This question is insane! I shop at both! :(

7) Would you rather only use one eye shadow colour or one lip colour the rest of your life?
Uhm.. maybe? Just as long as they can be matched to every outfit everyday ^__^

Summer clothes in winter ^__^. I can topped up alot of summer clothes all together just to make me feel warm.

9) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Eeeekkk!! Well, I rather choose dark nails ^_^

Yes. Because that would make me materialistic lol.

I... don't use lip gloss alot haha! Except for special occassions. And nails? Eeeekkk, they're not allowed at work hhaha!

Shave perhaps? Rather not have AT ALL that would be a nightmare! Well, mona lisa looks absolutely gorgeous without it though!

DIY: Anastasia PRO Wax Kit

I wasn't in look for something like this. Not until when I saw this along the counter and I was 'Hm, a home wax kit?' Why not try? ^__^'. So I did for $12 not bad. I never wax myself my entire life. I always needed someone to do it for me when me, my sis, and mum go to our favorite ProfessioNails salon and have it done :). They're very good btw. And they have great services there too.

Anyhow. Kit wise. I kinda like I can have my own little wax kit at home. It was super easy to follow.

1. Pre heat the wax for 60-70 seconds in a microwave
2. Let it cool for 5 seconds. Test the temperature
3. With the use of the applicator, scoop a little wax then line it along below the eyebrow
4. With the use of the muslin strip, pat it firmly on the wax along the hair growth to make sure it adheres enough
5. Starting from the end of the muslin strip, quickly pull it out in 45 degree angle against the hair growth

Was it messy? Yes. The wax is so viscous
Does it cause redness? Yes and it will go away after a while
Does it remove the unwanted hair? Yes it did :). But I honestly say it didn't in most hairs that are pretty short/ hard to remove with tweezers :\
Can I use it above my lip line? Yes. It can also be used there, and above the eyebrow
Anywhere else? Nope

Tip: You can cut the muslin strip into small lengths so it's easy to use

Be cautious if you're the kind of person who have skin problems or any allergies to the ingredients used though this product is Dermatologist, clinically tested :)

Review: Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara

First time, I saw it I was initially attracted. (Well,..ok by its name and packaging obviously lol :p) But seriously, this mascara is something everyone should check out. The bristles are fine and soft. I like that it goes all the way my whole eyelashes (buttom and upper) even the smallest ones because I have short buttom lashes. What I really liked in this ammmmaazing mascara is it did opened up my eyes. Huwell, I don't want to exaggerate that it did like a doll-eyed, but it did :) (lots of did did did -wth?lol)

This does volumizing and defining effect. Not lengthening nor moisturizing. Each mascaras are different depending on what kind of eyelashes you want to achieve. Waterproof/ smudge proof base? I first tested the mascara when I was in Sephora 3 hours now until I got home and still, I didn't see any single black line under my eye and I was a little sweaty because of the hot weather here in California.

This mascara is amazing <3. I love love it! Thank you Lancome!

Review: NARS lovin'

Earlier this weekend, I went shopping to Sephora and see what new they got. Well, I really wasn't in look for the new ones because I know they'll be expensive and not sure if my pocket can handle it hahah! But NARS do really have a good foundation in terms of their makeup quality. I'll hands down to them.

Isolde eyeshadow

I scouted around and stopped by Nars section staring at this gooooorgeous brown/gold eyeshadow duo called Isolde. I fell in love with it. I tried it on and it made my brown eyes pop more! Really. It must be the glitter which I kinda liked. I honestly tried to stay away from glittery e/s because it just scatters all over my face! But this one changed it all. I didn't hesitate to buy it though it really looks very similar to Mac Woodwinked so I use both of them because I really do love them. And I always get compliment from my sister lol.

Such a gorgeous combination. I use the left one on my lid (with a little touch of Mac woodwink). And the right on my crease.

Deep Throat blush

The name is kind of sarcastic, I say ahha! Anyways, I do like this blush. Very pigmented, sweet-chicky look blush. I've been using this one recently and I guess I'll be having my new blush brand now lol. I love that it also comes with a compact mirror as it gets easy to blush in. The only thing I may not like is the matte cover. "I hate it when dirt and finger prints always get in the cover" :( But the whole package was great nonetheless :)

It looks different from the top view above maybe because of the lightning -_-. But i promise it looks peach like the first one.

Via Veneto retractable eyeliner

Ever since I tried this, I never got a complaint regarding the smudging under my eye. Some eyeliners, even how amazing they say they are, they fail because of that. I really don't like that racoon- eye after a long day. This eyeliner is amazing! I used to go for brown or dark brown eyeliners and only few blacks I have including this one. And I love it now! It glides on easily and very easy to maneuver around.
